Still trailing HP and Dell (DELL) in notebook sales and Apple in design, Lenovo entered 2008 needing a runaway hit. In the Thinkpad X200, it may have scored one. A hair under three pounds and 1.4 inches at its thickest point, the notebook is "a good size for a briefcase or an airplane tray table," according to BW's Wildstrom. It packs a 12.1-inch widescreen display and about three hours of battery life.
